We are thrilled to present the first of our new ‘Honour’ series of short documentaries, launching with a tribute to the legendary flat trainer Sir Henry Cecil.
Sir Henry’s life is an incredible story of daring and strength of will. His ability to overcome the tragedy of his twin brother’s death, and then battle his own cancer, is a truly formidable tale of courage.
This film honours not only his fighting spirit, aided by his wife Jane, but also his great partnership with the mighty Frankel.
The film has been developed using footage supplied from the Sky TV archive and the script was created by Tony Rushmer, author of The Triumph of Henry Cecil – the Authorised Biography.
This project raises money for Sir Henry’s favourite charity, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (donate here), who will feature in the documentary. It was directed by Sion Sylvester and voiced by BAFTA and Olivier award-winning actor Toby Jones.
